Erin Shaw developed and currently facilitates the BKLYN Library Youth Council, BCAPteen Creative Leadership Project, and BCAPteen Alumni Advisory Committee for Brooklyn Public Library. She has also been the program director for several service- and arts-based youth leadership programs in previous positions. Her master's work in Educational Leadership focused on the intersection of the arts, youth leadership, and youth development.
