For seven years the New-York Historical Society Education Department, Library Staff, and Fordham University History Department have collaborated on a radical attempt to break out the walls of the undergraduate classroom and open the doors of historical societies and museums in order to create unique educational opportunities for undergraduates. Join us for a lively discussion of the many ways colleges and cultural institutions can benefit from closer cooperation, the challenges we’ve faced along the way, and how to position your institution to engage with this oft-overlooked audience.
